Rollbacks

Restore the previous version of a plugin or the theme after an update.

A rollback restores the version of a plugin or the theme that was installed before the last update made with GPLClub Updater. Rollbacks do not use credits.

How it works

Before each update, the Updater saves a copy of the installed version on the site's server, in wp-content/uploads/gplclub-backups/. A rollback replaces the current version with that copy.

• One copy is kept per product: the immediately previous version.

• The copy is deleted when you restore it or update the product again. This is why you can only go back one version.

• Only products updated with the Updater have a copy. There is no copy of products updated from WordPress or other tools, or of plugins installed for the first time from the Updater.

• If the site uses a child theme, the copy is of the parent theme.

Restore a previous version

1. In the WordPress menu, go to GPLClub Updater > Rollbacks.

2. Select Rollback on the plugin or theme. The button is only enabled if a copy exists.

The page reloads when the rollback finishes. To go back to the latest version, update the product again from the Dashboard; the update uses 1 credit.

If the rollback fails

If the rollback does not complete, the Updater keeps the installed version. In this case, no message is shown and the button stays in a loading state. Reload the page and contact support with the product name.
