# Install products from WordPress

Search for and install catalog plugins from GPLClub Updater, without downloading files.

GPLClub Updater lets you install catalog plugins directly in WordPress. Each installation uses 1 download credit.

## Find a plugin

The Updater offers two pages to find plugins:

* **Popular Plugins**: a selection of the most used plugins in the catalog.
* **Search Plugins**: search by name. The search requires at least 3 characters and shows up to 40 results.

Each result shows the catalog version (**Available**) and the version installed on the site (**Installed**), or **None** if the plugin is not installed.

## Install a plugin

1. In **Popular Plugins** or **Search Plugins**, select **Install** on the plugin.
2. When the **Plugin Installed Successfully** message appears, select **Activate**.

Plugins are installed deactivated. Activating and deactivating a plugin does not use credits.

If the plugin is already installed, the result shows **Activate** or **Deactivate** instead of **Install**. Updates are applied from the [Dashboard](/en/gplclub-updater/update-plugins-and-themes.md).

## Themes and template kits

The Updater only installs plugins. Themes and template kits are [downloaded from the website](/en/catalog-and-downloads/search-and-download.md) and [installed in WordPress](/en/catalog-and-downloads/install-in-wordpress.md) manually. Once installed and active, the theme can be updated from the Updater.
