# Request a missing product

Suggest products that are not in the catalog and vote for other members' suggestions.

Requests let you suggest products that are not in the catalog and vote for other members' suggestions. GPLClub gets the most voted ones first. Requests are on the member dashboard, under **Requests**.

## Availability

Suggesting and voting require an active membership. All plans include 10 votes and up to 3 open requests at a time.

## Votes

* Voting for a request uses one vote. Requesting a product also uses one, which is added to the new request.
* Votes return to your account when the request becomes **Available** or **Declined**.
* A vote can be withdrawn while the request is **Voting**. Once it becomes **Selected**, the vote stays on it until the request is resolved.
* With no free votes, the dashboard offers **Swap the vote**: withdraw it from a request that is still voting and give it to another one.

## Request a product

To request a product:

1. On the dashboard, go to **Requests**.
2. In **What product are you missing?**, enter the product name.
3. If it appears under **We already have it**, the product is already in the catalog. If it appears under **Someone already asked**, vote for that request.
4. If it does not appear, select **Request**, followed by the name, fill in the form, and select **Send request**.

The form asks for:

* **Product name** (required).
* **Official product website** (required).
* **Why do you want it?** (optional).

## Statuses

| Status          | Meaning                                                                                        |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Voting**      | The request is gathering votes.                                                                |
| **Selected**    | GPLClub is going to get the product.                                                           |
| **In progress** | The product has been purchased and is being prepared for the catalog.                          |
| **Available**   | The product is now in the catalog.                                                             |
| **Declined**    | GPLClub is not going to add the product.                                                       |
| **Merged**      | The request was merged into another one for the same product, and its votes moved to that one. |

## Email notifications

* The person who requested the product receives an email at each status change. If the request is declined, the email includes the reason.
* When the product becomes available, everyone who voted for it receives the **{Product} is in the catalogue now** email.
