# Test instances

Create a temporary WordPress site to try plugins and themes before installing them on a real site.

A test instance is a temporary, isolated WordPress site for trying plugins and themes before installing them on a real site. It is created in under a minute and deletes itself when it expires.

## Availability

All plans include test instances. The dashboard shows how many you can have at once and the durations available on your plan.

## Create an instance

To create an instance:

1. On the dashboard, go to **Instances** and select **Create instance**.
2. Choose the WordPress version.
3. Optionally, add plugins from WordPress.org or from the catalog, under **GPLClub Premium**, up to 15.
4. Choose the theme: the default one, Hello Elementor, or Astra.
5. Choose the duration and, optionally, select **Install GPLClub Updater**.
6. Confirm the setup. The instance takes 30 to 60 seconds to be created.

When it is ready, the dashboard shows the instance's username and password only once. The **Open wp-admin** button signs in to the dashboard without a password.

Catalog plugins installed on an instance do not use your [daily credits](/en/membership-and-account/daily-downloads.md).

## Limitations

* Instances are created in English.
* When it expires, the instance is deleted with all its content, without notice. Do not use it for real sites.
